4 most necessary skills of the 21st-century manager
In order to thrive and boost sales today's companies tend to hire managers who are intelligent, prosper in building relationship with people and are willing to work in the team-based environment.
But although the upper mentioned qualities, the most important skills managers should possess are the following :
1. Vision and ability to identify consumer's needs
The 21st-Century manager should be able to perceive marketplace and determine the measures an organization must take to meet consumer's desires.
Avon CEO Andrea Jung not only improved financial position of the company by entering new markets and expanding advertising to increase sales, but her vision of Avon as "The Company for Women" transformed it into "business empire" which enables millions of sales representatives around the world to run their business and earn sufficient income.
In addition to this Andrea Jung contributed into a campaign against domestic violence and donated $450 million to breast cancer education and research.
2. Ability to analyze and assess information to fix problems or grab  new opportunities
The 21st-Century manager should be capable of determining the accuracy and value of information. Manager should "plunge beneath the surface" in order to reveal deeper or hidden meaning  which can help identify critical issues and solutions.
3. Ability to develop novel solutions
In the highly competitive environment manager should be creative. It is important to see different ways of doing business in order to make organization stay on top position among rivals.
4.Ability to adjust to changing environment
Business environment of organization may fluctuate due to external and internal causes. Economic trends, consumer desires, company goals are changing, new technologies and innovations surprise us every day and bring more tasks for managers to accomplish therefore it is important "to be able to adjust wings" on time and take right decisions quickly.
    Successful managers realize their own strength and they know how and when their skills should be applied to motivate and empower people and lead team through the constantly changing environment
