Frankfurt am Main is a city with a truly international flair and dynamic economic growth. In addition to being a Germany’s leading financial centre and having an excellent infrastructure, Frankfurt has a lot to offer people passionate about entrepreneurship and building startups (see infographic).

There are several factors that have a significant contribution into the growth of Frankfurt startup ecosystem: access to capital and potential investors, high-tech sector is growing rapidly (particularly in such areas as information and security systems), access to regional and international markets presents a great opportunity for building customer base, city is open to new cultures, diverse talent pool.


A number of different programs and initiatives are being launched to provide training and support for aspiring entrepreneurs. This spring Founder Institute, the world's largest entrepreneur training and startup launch program, tested its chapter in Frankfurt. The goal of the program is to help entrepreneurs “learn by doing” - launch companies through structured training courses and expert feedback from business mentors.
