German National Tourist Board launched a new online platform “Sustainable Travel in Germany”.
As a travel destination, Germany has a lot to offer whether you wish to go sightseeing or prefer to go on a cultural, sports or eco tours. There are over 130 national natural landscapes, environmentally-friendly transport infrastructure, award-winning green cities, more than 23,000 organic farms, 200 long-distance cycle paths, 300 premium hiking trails, 41 UNESCO World Heritage Sites and even extensive canal network.
A new platform is designed to help travelers make informed decisions, allowing them to discover different modes of eco-friendly transport used in Germany and learn about sustainable accommodation providers, local cuisine, popular festivals and traditions in different regions of the country.
The platform also provides information on open-air museums, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, national and natural parks, wellness and spa facilities, green cities. Besides, you’ll also be able to find a lot of useful information on active holidays in Germany and read tips on how to make your travel more eco-friendly.
