It would be wrong to think that you have to eat bean sprouts and tofu all the time to be healthy. No. It is important that you incorporate foods in your daily diet that help you sustain health. Also, it is important to exercise at least 150 minutes a week. Any physical activity, sport, or exercise that lasts over 150 minutes a week is golden. Sleeping well every night and drinking plenty of water every day are just as important as good food and exercise.

Here are 7 nutritious, healthy foods to add to your daily eating routine.

Sauerkraut

Now you do not have to eat sauerkraut every day, but two times a week is fantastic. Sauerkraut includes a range of essential nutrients. The cabbage that sauerkraut is made of is alkaline. Eating alkaline food helps keep your stomach acid balanced. Cancer loves an acidic body. Eating cabbage or sauerkraut can help keep your body from becoming too acidic. Sauerkraut is also fermented, which means that it contains probiotics and cultures. Sauerkraut can provide you with extra nutrients that can keep your intestinal tract from getting sick. Putting Sauerkraut on top of a high-quality sausage is excellent. Just don't eat sausage more than once a week so you can stay healthy.

Nuts

You should be nuts about nuts. Nuts are an excellent source of protein. Walnuts, peanuts, pecans, pistachios, etc. – the choice is so great that you will definitely find the nuts you like most. Then keep a bag around and eat them as snacks. Nuts are perfect because you can take them with you anywhere. These days nuts are a little pricey, but just a handful goes a long way. Nuts can stop you from feeling hungry, thus saving you money in the long run. Make sure that the nuts you choose are not full of oil, salt, or sugar. Plain nuts are the healthiest. Peanut butter with no extra oil or sugar is very healthy, too. Buy all-natural peanut butter. Organic is best if you can afford.

Leafy Greens

Eating any type of leafy green is actually more exciting than you think. There are enough different kinds of leafy greens, so you can eat a different lettuce every day. Bib, romaine, iceberg, kale, and more are all excellent choices to eat at lunch or dinner. If you have a lettuce, you are more apt to add some more vegetables to it. You can also pick your favorite dressing and pour on it. However, you might want to check the fat content of the dressing and keep the serving size to no more than 2 tablespoons.

Berries

Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries – all berries have a high level of antioxidants that help protect the brain. Berries provide a low fat snack that can easily curb your hunger. Have you ever noticed that this fruit is actually sweeter than sugar? Berries are a perfect way to feed that sweet tooth without the negative effects caused by sugar.

Chickpeas

People often forget about beans as a food. Some people are afraid that they will make them fart. The truth is that beans are an excellent source of nutrients. Chickpeas have protein, vitamin B-6, and potassium. You can cook hummus, which contains mashed chickpeas blended with tahini and other seasonings. Not only does hummus taste good, but it is also good for you. Chickpeas can easily be put into salads. Some people just eat them alone.

Egg Whites

Some people think that eggs have a lot of cholesterol. The egg yolks do. Having a whole egg is healthy, but if you need to cut the cholesterol than the egg whites provide great nutrition. Two egg whites provide over 6 grams of protein. Protein helps maintain proper hormone levels and protein keeps your nails and skin strong.

Mushrooms

Mushrooms are often forgotten. If you have ever sautéed mushrooms with a little butter and onions, you know how delicious mushrooms can be. There are many types of mushrooms that provide lots of antioxidants. Like lettuce, you can choose different mushrooms like shiitake, oyster, portobello, and many more that are delicious and healthy.

Activities

Eating healthy might inspire you to be more active, too. There are so many activities out there to choose from. Dancing and martial arts are very popular these days. People like Hector Lombard - UFC and NFL players - work hard to inspire others to share the activities and proper usage of protein supplements that have made them successfully achieve and then maintain the same fitness routine. The UFC or Ultimate Fighting Championship is all about fighting responsibly. Kids from tough neighbourhoods can learn how to strengthen their body and mind through responsible fighting exercise.
