Estonian startup Elbify created lightweight electric bicycle for sustainable urban commuting. As founders say, they decided to start Elbify because of their personal love for e-biking.

What makes this bicycle special is that it is made from eco-friendly materials and is equipped with motorized button mechanism that effortlessly folds and unfolds e-bike, turning it into a portable mobility solution and allowing commuters to take bicycle to the workplace.

In addition to being light and compact, Elbify is also equipped with IoT features that enable safer mobility, especially in areas with intense traffic congestion.

It’s also important to mention that Elbify’s frame was designed by one of the world’s foremost industrial designers Paavo Pietola. As the founders said, “We wanted to bring to life a stylish product that people would use to move in large metropolitan areas without the hassle of theft, parking and transporting.”

Lately, Elbify team has announced that their product won the German Design Award 2016 for Excellent Design.

With their innovative product, founders of Elbify aim to help urban population solve the problem of traffic congestion and encourage more people who commute daily to work to choose more sustainable mobility solutions.
