A lot of people started consuming CBD oil after numerous studies have proven that it’s beneficial to our health. Namely, it can help reduce anxiety, pain, inflammation, seizures. It can also help improve your skin, hair, and just make you healthier.

As a result of this, there’s been a CBD boom in recent years. That’s why many pharmaceutical companies started producing their own CBD oil, also known as CBD vape juice. However, not all CBD is created equal in terms of quality, effect, and ingredients.

Although you can easily find CBD oil in the local pharmacies and online, you have to be careful when choosing one. Otherwise, you will end up with bad-quality CBD oil.

In order to avoid choosing the wrong CBD oil, here are the 5 most common mistakes people make when buying CBD oil.

Choosing Price Over Quality

Many people try to save money when buying things, such as clothes, furniture, food, and so on. However, when choosing medicaments or health supplements, the price shouldn’t be in the first place. It’s because the price, at least in terms of drugs, reflects the quality of the product. For instance, a low price can suggest a low concentration of CBD, which isn’t something you would like.

Although that might not be the case with all drugs, it is with most of them. This is simply because the more famous brands produce higher quality products and have a higher price. Nonetheless, this is not the only factor for choosing the right CBD oil, so let’s have a look at the rest.

Not Checking the Extraction Method

The extraction method is one of the most important factors that indicate the CBD oil’s quality. Therefore, you need to know them before buying your oil. You also need to know if the seller is trustworthy and that the cannabis or hemp used is certified and organic. This will ensure your product is of the highest quality. In terms of the extraction method, there are several common methods, including:

  • CO2 extraction – This method is considered as the best one because it produces powerful, pure, and safe CBD oil.
  • Dry ice extraction – This is another very popular method because it’s clean, easy, and produces a good amount of CBD oil. The bad thing is that this method results in low-quality CBD oil.
  • Olive oil extraction – This is a safe extraction method which results in producing good quality CBD oil, but less amount of it.
  • Solvent-based extraction – This is a dangerous and harmful method because it uses harsh chemicals to extract the CBD from the plant. Hence, you shouldn’t buy CBD oil that was produced using this method.

Not Checking the Plant Source

You know that the CBD oil can be derived from cannabis and hemp plant. Regardless of its origin, you need to check its source. In other words, you need to check the cannabis or hemp’s country of origin. This is because if your source plant is grown in a country where growing cannabis and hemp isn’t regulated by the law it’s probably grown on toxic soil. This means that your oil will contain part of the hazardous elements from the soil. That’s why it’s best to buy CBD oil that is derived from a plant grown in countries where cannabis and hemp are legalized.

Not Checking For THC Substance

Another thing you should check before choosing your CBD oil is whether or not it contains the psychoactive substance THC. It’s because some CBD oil may contain it due to increased effect. Therefore, you should always look for the non-psychoactive approval seal.

Not Checking the Seller

As mentioned at the beginning of this article, there are lots of CBD oil manufacturers. But, that doesn’t mean all of them are trustworthy. That’s why you need to do a little research on their background.

You can do that by simply visiting their website. There, you should check the fine print. If the manufacturer is trustworthy, all the information about the product, as well as their lab tests, will be shown. You can expect to see things like CBD/THC content, extraction method, the origin of the plant (cannabis or hemp), type of CBD oil – CBD isolate or Full-spectrum.

When choosing your CBD oil, don’t get for the one that can cure all illnesses. Let’s be real, there’s no such thing. Although it has many health benefits, CBD oil isn’t a magic potion that can do everything.

Also, be aware of its strength. This refers to the CBD concentration. If you choose CBD oil that’s too strong for you, you may experience some side-effects such as diarrhea, dry mouth, dizziness, and lower heart rate.
