Even the thought of cleaning can make people feel uneasy. We often end putting it off so long that the house ends up being a total mess. This infographic from HappyCleans looks at how we can turn cleaning into a workout, so hopefully it will give you a bit of motivation to clean up your mess a bit more often!

Dusting needs to be a regular activity as otherwise it can take over a home. It burns 174 calories an hour and you can make it even more powerful by adding light weights. Two or three pounds of extra resistance on your wrists can help to tone your arms.

Another task no one likes is hovering, but it still burns 153 calories an hour. Getting the hoover out might be a bit easier if you know the end result will be a clean home and lost calories.

Remember that when you’re at home the risk of snacking increases as the fridge is right there, so don’t waste all your burned calories with frequent trips to the fridge. Check out the full infographic now and remember the next time you’re cleaning that you’re also getting a very decent workout.
